A Global Shift Toward Electric Vehicles
Electric vehicles are no longer a future dream. They are driving on roads everywhere – from Shanghai to San Francisco. According to the latest data from Talking Data, a world?renowned statistical authority, China has become the world’s No.1 seller of new energy vehicles (EVs).
With this rapid growth, more and more automakers are investing heavily in EV production. The new energy vehicle industry continues to show strong, healthy growth momentum. And as EV production rises, so does the demand for high?quality components.
One critical component is the new energy battery module connecting wire – also called the EV battery flexible connector or battery module soft busbar.
You may not be familiar with this part, but it plays an essential role: it connects the battery cells inside an EV battery pack. Without a reliable connecting wire, the battery cannot perform safely or efficiently.

The Challenge: A Difficult Part to Make
Producing a high?quality battery module connecting wire is not easy. The requirements are very strict:
● The surface must be smooth and bright for good contact.
● The wire must offer excellent electrical conductivity.
● It needs to be flexible enough to fit tight spaces inside the battery module.
● It should be easy to install, resistant to bending, and able to dissipate heat well.
Many manufacturers have tried and failed. The sampling and prototyping process is extremely challenging.
VINSTON Spring Machinery: 6 Months of Breakthroughs
At VINSTON Spring Machinery, we accepted the challenge. We spent six full months overcoming technical obstacles one by one. Our engineering team worked tirelessly on material selection, forming methods, and surface treatment.
Finally, in 2019, we successfully completed the sample prototyping of our new energy battery module connecting wire.
Below is a picture of the sample produced on our busbar bending machine.
